“ So I’ll live like it’s the last time, for a long time, is it my time?”
That song especially reminds me of something that I didn’t touch on in the episode, actually, but that death is a mercy. It’s something I spoke about in the previous episode, which was about Interview With A Vampire, and Vampires as a concept, which is why I didn’t touch on those things this time round. But that, Smoke should’ve really killed Stack after he turned, even though he couldn’t bear it. But Last Time I Saw The Sun, is like a reminder, that living each day as it comes, is all you can do, and the main importance, in being able to feel the sun on your face, is a gift, and not being able to, is a curse.
In the comments, talk about moments in the film that stood out to you, and what the film even meant to you
But to think, it wasn’t one post credits, but two
It was really interesting seeing this film being used as a way for people to look back on their history & their roots. Something that I wish I could relate to, as someone who’s lived in London their whole lives, and hasn’t really understood their culture, too much. But it does feel like, every waking moment, I learn something new, about my family history & heritage.
Thank you so much to Ryan Coogler for this masterpiece & many more to come!
